Q. Will using remanufactured products void my printer's warranty? A. No. IBM tried to urge their customers into using OEM products and by doing so lost in a Supreme Court ruling IBM vs. The United States. The Supreme Court held that IBM could not terminate their data processing equipment leases just because their customers didn't use supplies manufactured by IBM. Such a practice constituted a “tying agreement” and would be in violation of the Sherman-Clayton Antitrust Act.
